Together, the Website and the Apps are referred to as "Services." Your privacy is important. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the Services and how it is handled.
Website (afaan.dev)
The Website is a static portfolio site. It does not require you to create an account or log in.
- Consent-based analytics: The Website uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymized traffic. Analytics and any related cookies are disabled by default and are only enabled if you explicitly click “Accept” on the cookie banner. IP addresses are anonymized, and you can decline with no loss of functionality.

Mobile Applications
The following applies to all mobile Apps published by Afaan Bilal on the Google Play Store and other distribution platforms.
Data Collection
- No account required: The Apps do not require registration, login, or any form of account creation.
- No personal data collection: The Apps do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information.
- No analytics or tracking: The Apps do not include any analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, or user tracking mechanisms.
- No advertisements: The Apps do not display ads and do not integrate any advertising SDKs.
Local Storage
Some Apps may store preferences and data locally on your device (e.g., saved settings, favorites, or cached content). This data remains entirely on your device and is never transmitted to any server. You can clear this data at any time through your device's app settings.
Network Access
Some Apps may connect to the internet to fetch publicly available data (e.g., exchange rates, prayer times). These network requests are made directly to third-party data providers and do not pass through any servers operated by Afaan Bilal. No user data is sent with these requests beyond what is technically necessary for the request (e.g., IP address at the network level).
Permissions
The Apps request only the minimum permissions necessary for their core functionality (e.g., internet access for fetching data, location access for local prayer times). No permission is used to collect or share personal information.
Third-Party Services
The Services may load content from or connect to third-party services such as GitHub APIs, external CDNs, and public data providers. These services may collect technical data according to their own privacy policies. The Website uses Google Analytics (consent-based and IP-anonymized, as described above); the mobile Apps use no analytics. No advertising services are used across the Services.
Apps distributed through the Google Play Store are subject to Google's Privacy Policy. Google may collect information about your device and app usage as part of their platform services.
External Links
The Services may contain links to external sites and services (GitHub, LinkedIn, Google Play, etc.). These third-party sites have their own privacy policies, and Afaan Bilal is not responsible for their content or practices.
Data Retention
Since the Services do not collect personal data, there is no personal data to retain. Any data stored locally by the Apps can be deleted by clearing the app data or uninstalling the App from your device.
Children's Privacy
The Services do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Since no personal data is collected from any user, the Services are safe for use by all age groups.
